German politicians, including German Chancellor Angela Merkel, journalists and other prominent public figures have been doxxed by hackers who distributed their personal data on Twitter, theregister.co reported. 

Attacks reportedly continued until the end of October, 2018. It is not excluded that Russia and China are involved in the attacks.

According to the information available, currently, hackers have posted only some part of the stolen information on the network. Mobile phone numbers, personal email addresses, official and private correspondence, passwords, personal photos and documents were stolen.
