Despite being elected an MP, Davit Gevorgyan has decided to continue serving as Governor of Aragatsotn Province of the Republic of Armenia (RA).

“After being elected MP as a result of the snap NA [National Assembly] elections on December 9, I received an offer to stay in the post of Governor of Aragatsotn Province,” Gevorgyan wrote, in particular, in a Facebook post. “(…) I decided to continue to stay in the post of Governor of Aragatsotn Province.

“Being well aware of the ‘load’ put on our shoulders, we are obligated to meet the expectations of the RA citizen.”
