The official representative of the Turkish President, Ibrahim Kalin, accused the former US Special Representative for interaction with other countries in the fight against the ISIS Brett McGurk in supporting terrorism, Hyrriyet Daily reported.
“Your analysis is flawed. Your accusations against Turkey are complete nonsense, only a repetition of PKK propaganda. You want to give new life to PKK. Won’t happen. One should have a nerve to accuse others for the challenges in Syria, when actually he is the one who has mislead the consecutive US Administrations and created these problems for all of us. His welcome departure will help us prevent further disasters in Syria,” Kalin tweeted.
McGurk resigned on December 21 to protest the decision of US President Donald Trump to withdraw US troops from Syria.
