YEREVAN. – The incumbent Armenian authorities have decided to expand the opportunities of the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP); but they should not have supported it.

Gevorg Gorgisyan, secretary of the Bright Armenia Party (BAP) faction in the newly elected parliament, stated the abovementioned during Monday’s press briefing at the National Assembly. He noted this while commenting on the election of the PAP’s representative—and not of the BAP’s—as one of the three deputy speakers of the new legislature of the country.

As per Gorgisyan, this selection was a “disgrace,” and the BAP is to this day displeased with such a move by the current halls of power.

Also, the BAP lawmaker expressed a view that the authorities have decided to broaden the PAP’s capabilities as an opposition.
