On February 25, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan will pay a working visit to Russia. Serzh Sargsyan will meet his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev in St Petersburg.

The meeting will be held on the threshold of  Armenian, Azerbaijani and Russian presidents’ meeting in Sochi on March 5.

The Presidents last met in this format in Astrakhan October 27, 2010 at the invitation of the President of the Russian Federation on. They discussed thoroughly the process and the prospects of the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. The talks were held on the return of POWs in Armenia and Azerbaijan. There a total of eight POWs, six military and two civilians’ bodies. On the Armenian side - Manvel Saribekyan; and from Azerbaijan - Mubariz Ibragimov and Farid Akhmedov.

On February 23-24, U.S. Deputy Secretary of State James Steinberg visited Yerevan and Baku. Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs Philip H. Gordon accompanied Deputy Steinberg.

The outgoing EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus Peter Semneby has recently arrived in Yerevan and Baku. The Karabakh peace process was a focal point of the talks.
