Despite mass protests held throughout Libya strongman Muammar Gaddafi claims people love him. In an interview with ABC news he stated he could not leave Libya as it is his homeland.

Stressing he is not a king or president, Gaddafi said he would not step down and denied use of force against the demonstrators. The Libyan leader also noted he does not believe people are holding protest against him, labeling his opponents as terrorists.

According to some sources, 600-2000 people were killed, 4000 injured in anti-government protests in Libya. The demonstrators protest against Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi’s regime, who has been in power for more than 40 years.

Four Armenian citizens were evacuated from Libya last Wednesday. They left for Moscow by a Russian plane.
