An inflation rate of 1.9% was registered in Armenia this February compared with this January. A few days ago, RA Minister of Finance Vache Gabrielyan forecasted 1% inflation this February.
The Statistical Service of Armenia reports 4.8% inflation this February as compared with last December, and 12.4% inflation as compared with last February – the highest inflation rate over the last 15 years.
A 9.2% rise in sugar price was registered this February as compared with last February, with a 3.1% price rise ad compared with this January. A 1.5 to 7.3% rise in sugar price was registered in all the Armenian cities involved in the survey, with the highest rise registered in Talin. A 2.3% price rise was registered in Yerevan.
The prices for petrol and diesel fuel showed a respective rise of 10.4% and 17.1% this February as compared with last February. The same prices showed a respective rise of 7.1% and 7.9% as compared with last December.
