“The complete unacceptable actions of the Libyan regime have made it clear that Libyan leader Gaddafi is part of the problem, not part of the solution,” President of European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso told reporters in Brussels.
“It is time for him to go and give the country back to the people,” Barroso noted.
A wave of unrest spread across the Arab world following the uprisings in Tunisia and Egypt, Bahrain, Yemen.
According to some sources, 600-2000 people were killed, 4000 injured in anti-government protests in Libya. The demonstrators protest against Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi’s regime, who has been in power for more than 40 years.
Four Armenian citizens were evacuated from Libya last Wednesday. They left for Moscow by a Russian plane.
