New Zealand Parliament MP’s voted to tighten the law on the arms circulation, the AP reported.

The overwhelming majority of the country's legislators voted for the bill.

The country's parliamentarians are hoping that the law will come into force by the end of next week.

The bill went into circulation after the tragic accident last month, when an armed man opened fire on praying people in two mosques of the country.

Only one of 120 New Zealand MPs, David Seymour, opposed the implementation of the bill, explaining that this decision was too hasty.

Police Minister Stuart Nash said far too many people have access to dangerous firearms and that in New Zealand gun ownership remains a privilege, not a right.
