Turkey has invited Azerbaijan to join national modern infantry rifle project, Azerbaijan-based APA news agency reports.
Export manager of the Turkey’s Machinery and Chemistry Industry Organization Akif Akgul said the company is expecting response of the Azerbaijani side.
“It will not be similar to G3, M16 and Kalashnikov rifles. The 7.62x51-caliber rifle was designed by the Turkish engineers in accordance with the NATO standards,” said Akgul.
