President of Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Bako Sahakyan chaired the March 29 meeting of the Security Council. Issues related to food security, as well as results of joint military exercise held by the armed forces and security structures were on the agenda.

Premier Ara Harutunyan delivered a report on food security. Minister of Agriculture Armo Tsaturyan, Minister of Economic Development Karen Yesayan, Director of the countryside and agriculture assistance fund Vahram Baghdasaryan also took the floor.

Taking into account strategic importance of food security for the republic, Bako Sahakyan noted that although much work had been carried out there are still many problems which require urgent and comprehensive solution.

The President instructed the Government to elaborate relevant programs, reported NKR presidential press service.

Defense Minister Movses Hakobyan delivered a corresponding report on military exercise held in Karabakh.
