The Stepanakert airport will be re-operated soon, the Azg newspaper writes. The airport was destroyed in February 1992. The Khojalu commandant Alif Gajiyev ordered the control center to be exploded to prevent “the enemy” from getting secret documents. The other structures of the airport had been destroyed earlier.

The new airport is preparing to receive the first flight. Interestingly, although blockaded, Nagorno-Karabakh is not only dealing with current problems, but has also constructed a modern airport to establish reliable communication with other parts of the world.

This is the reason why the Azeri authorities have lost their balance. Official Baku is convincing its subjects that people are “half-starved” in Nagorno-Karabakh and are “on the point of preferring Azerbaijan to poor Armenia.”

However, all of a sudden, Azerbaijanis get the information that Nagorno-Karabakh is going to operate an airport. This is enough for Azeri people to realize their authorities are lying, the newspaper writes.
