YEREVAN. – The court of general jurisdiction of Yerevan resumed today the trial of the case of Armenia’s ex-MP Manvel Grigoryan's. At today's hearing, the court will consider the decision to separate Grigoryan's case from that of his wife, Nazik Amiryan.

At the previous hearing, Manvel Grigoryan's health deteriorated again, and the medical staff took the defendant out of the courtroom.

Speaking to reporters after a previous hearing, Grigoryan's lawyers noted that they had a negative view of the decision to separate Grigoryan's case from Amiryan's case.

Manvel Grigoryan is charged with illegal possession of weapons and ammunition, embezzlement of property, tax evasion, misuse of state funds, and setting up theft of property.

His wife Nazik Amiryan is accused of illegally keeping ammunition and explosives in the three houses they own, as well as committing thefts.
