On the way to democracy, it is necessary to be guided not by emotions, but by intelligence, Bright Armenia party MP Taron Simonyan said Friday at the international conference on democracy and the prevention of conflicts in society.
According to him, from the very beginning of the independence, Armenian society has been constantly in a transitional state, and it turns out that it works all the time to prevent consequences, not causes.
“This is due to the fact that our society, which is freed from the chains of the old masters, strangely seeks to acquire a new master,” he said.
The MP noted that during the period of revolution, the intellectuals is always relegated to the background, while it should play a key role in decision-making.
