Despite the fact that civil society failed to create the ground for intensive cooperation with the previous authorities, nevertheless, this did not become an obstacle for it to become one of the most successful democratic institutions in the country, said chairperson of the Union of Informed Citizens NGO Daniel Ioannisyan.

According to him, the events of last year changed the essence of the work of civil society.

"It was easier to work, since the activities of civil society in Armenia came down to criticizing the authorities and those phenomena with which the general population did not agree. Now the government has widespread trust in society, and it is more difficult to criticize them. After the revolution, authorities agreed that there were problems and turned to civil society to look for solutions to the problems. Today it’s not enough to criticize, it is also necessary to propose solutions,” he said.
