YEREVAN. – The opposition Bright Armenia faction in the National Assembly (NA) is dissatisfied with the government's steps undertaken in environmental protection. Faction MP Mane Tandilyan said this at the December 4 sitting of the NA.

According to her, environmental security is the protection of a person's vitally important environmental interests, first of all, his rights to a clean, healthy, favorable environment for life.

"However, none of the directions mentioned in the government program not only is not being implemented, but it can also be said that often the opposite is being done," Tandilyan complained. "Your entire report gives the impression that the government has no idea about environmental issues and replaces them with economic ones."

She also noted that Bright Armenia is not satisfied with the government's response to their inquiry.
