The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict will remain unsettled until Nagorno-Karabakh becomes a negotiator, the NKR Parliament member, Major-General Vitaly Balasanyan told NEWS.am.
“Karabakh has repeatedly stated its position: no problems will be resolved until Nagorno-Karabakh becomes a negotiator. I do not think the Nagorno-Karabakh people will accept any decision made without the NKR authorities’ participation – even if it will involve the European Union, USA or Russia,” Balasanyan said.
As to whether the Armenian authorities can sign a document without Nagorno-Karabakh’s consent, he said: “I am sure they will not. [President Serzh] Sargsyan has repeatedly stated that.”
