YEREVAN. – Hayastan All-Armenian Fund’s ex-director Ara Vardanyan thanked Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan for “unmasking” everyone last year.

“Nikol, I am grateful to you. Thank you for finally unmasking everyone, thank you for waking up our patriotism. Evrything bad that you are doing is useful to all of us,” he wrote on Facebook.

On October 9, Hayastan All-Armenian Fund’s former Executive Director Ara Vardanyan was charged with embezzlement. The pretext for the indictment was that the products of one of the companies subject to the fund were not supplied to the addressees.

Ara Vardanyan did not plead guilty, claiming that he was being politically persecuted. Vardanyan was relesased on bail for AMD 10 million.
