YEREVAN. - The Armenian government is trying radical reforms in the government system.

Prime Minister of Armenia Tigran Sargsyan told that the government decided to submit urgent draft amendments to the Law on Civil Servants, as well as to other initiatives, to parliament. According to him, public control over 500 high-ranking officials must be established, which will reduce corruption risks. The officials in question are to present income and property reports to the ethical commissions to be formed at all the government agencies.

Armenia’s officials are also expected to respect moral standards and reject gifts.
