The US industrial production fell by 11.2% compared to the previous month, according to the Fed, RIA Novosti reported.
According to the regulator, the drop in the indicator became the maximum for the entire 101-year history of conducting these statistics in connection with the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, which forced many plants to slow down or suspend work for a month.
At the same time, analysts polled by Reuters expected a drop of 11.5% every month.
