The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the World Health Organization (WHO) have developed guidelines for air passengers to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, DW reported.

According to the ICAO, passengers should provide a health certificate and their temperature should be measured twice - before and after the arrival.

The organization also recommends avoiding physical contact wherever possible and using e-tickets.

ICAO advises passengers to wear face masks at the airport and throughout the flight.

Onboard, passengers should leave their seats as little as possible, and queues to the toilet should be avoided as well.
