During the hearing on the petition to arrest former deputy of the National Assembly Abraham Manukyan held at Yerevan court of general jurisdiction under the chairmanship of Judge Robert Papoyan today, Manukyan started feeling bad, as Manukyan’s attorney Hrant Ananyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“Mr. Manukyan had a heart problem and started feeling bad while speaking during the hearing. He is currently at the hospital,” Ananyan said.

Manukyan is charged under part 2 of Articles 38-154.2 of the Criminal Code of Armenia (assisting in giving a bribe personally or through a mediator for voting in favor or against a particular political party or candidate or refusing to participate in elections or voting for one of the political parties or candidates more than once). Manukyan doesn’t accept the charge brought against him.
