YEREVAN. – We are going to initiate a change soon, according to which, during the construction of 70-story buildings it is necessary to consider the possibility of evacuating people by helicopters. Mayor Hayk Marutyan stated this during Wednesday’s meeting of the Yerevan Council of Elders.

According to him, it should always be taken into account that the interests of the city are connected not only with environmental but also economic issues. "The construction of buildings is closely connected with it, and time and jobs are needed. And that's why the interests of the city must be taken into account when making a decision on a construction permit," the mayor added.
