During a discussion on the bill on making amendments and supplements to the Law on State Duty held as part of the session of the Standing Committee on Economic Affairs of the National Assembly of Armenia today, Deputy Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan said the government suggests setting a state duty for sanitizer-producing companies.

According to her, the Ministry of Health is currently in charge of registering the operation of a number of companies, particularly sanitizer-producing companies, which need to pay a state duty.

The deputy minister added that this arises from Armenia’s commitments to the Eurasian Economic Union.

Based on the existing legislation, a duty in the amount of 12-fold of the base duty is set for primary state registration of companies and products.

The Committee approved the legislative initiative.
