At least 23 people have died and hundreds of homes have been destroyed in over a hundred major fires in the United States, covering about 7,000 square miles, USA Today reported.
Unprecedented weather conditions have caused an emergency in California, Oregon, Washington, and several other states.
More than half a million residents have been evacuated in Oregon.
Most of the victims of the fires - 19 people - are residents of California, three died in Oregon, and one person in Washington.
There have also been reports of a large number of victims of fire burns.
