President of the Constitutional Court of Armenia Arman Dilanyan today received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Armenia Michael Johannes Banzhaf.

During the meeting, Dilanyan attached importance to the German government’s support to the judicial and legal reforms, strengthening of rule of law and the protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms in Armenia.

Ambassador Banzhaf expressed gratitude for the cordial reception, stated that the legal relations between Armenia and Germany have always been mutual and added that the effective cooperation and friendly relations between the Constitutional Courts of the two countries serve as the best evidence.

The interlocutors also exchanged views on the priorities of the German chairmanship in the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe and the implementation of joint programs in the sphere of rule of law.
