US Secretary of State Antony Blinken held a phone talk with Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud.
The sides have discussed strengthening the kingdom's defenses amid the shelling of the Abha airport by the Houthi movement supporters, TASS reported.
The parties also discussed a political settlement of the conflict in Yemen, including the mediation of the US Special Representative for Yemen, Tim Lenderking.
