A wax museum was forced to remove a statue of former US President Donald Trump because visitors kept attacking it, according to San Antonia Express-News.

Visitors at Louis Tussaud’s Waxworks Museum in San Antonia, Texas have repeatedly attacked and scratched Trump’s wax figure to the point where the museum’s coordinators decided to move the statue out of the public eye.

The regional manager for Ripley Entertainment, Clay Stewart, said that the attacks on Trump’s statue increased last summer due to the fact that presidential campaigns were gaining momentum. The statues of former presidents, including George Bush and Barack Obama, had also been vandalized in the past.

Trump’s other wax statues suffered even worse fates over recent years. Last October, Berlin’s Madame Tussaud’s museum threw the former president’s wax statue in the dumpster prior to the presidential elections.

The dumpster read, “Trump, Make America Great Again,” as well as some of the president’s favorite phrases, such as “Fake news” and “You’re fired.”

The marketing manager of the Berlin museum, Orkide Yalcindag, said that the dumpster was a reflection of their predictions for the US elections, which Trump had lost. “We here at Madame Tussaud’s Berlin removed Trump’s waxwork as a preparatory measure,” Yalcindag said.
