The ruling Justice and Development Party of Turkey condemned on Wednesday accusations by the US State Department of the use of anti-Semitic statements by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

According to them, to accuse Erdogan of anti-Semitism is an unreasonable and wrong approach.

As party's spokesman Omer Celik noted, the Turkish president has made very strong calls against anti-Semitism and continues to do so. He puts anti-Semitism and Islamophobia at the top of the hate crimes that need to be combated.
