The RA Government approved an electricity and energy transit agreement with Georgia. RA Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Armen Movsisyan stated that the agreement is supposed to create a legal basis for the efficient operation of the two countries’ energy systems, formation of an open electricity and power market, which would facilitate the improvement of power quality and development of regional energy cooperation.
Under the document the sides will, using their technical potential, provide uninterrupted electricity and power transit on their territory at economically sound and transparent tariffs.
