A total of 107.5bn AMD were allocated from the RA state budget to education and science in Armenia last year, RA Deputy Minister of Education and Science Ara Avetisyan stated in Parliament.

The financing of the secondary education sector totaled 350m AMD. Teachers’ salaries were raised by 52.7%. A total of 7.5bn AMD were allocated to the higher education sector. The RE Ministry of Education and Science asked the RA Government’s Reserve Fund for 230m AMD more for a program Avetisyan could not provide any information on.
