Acting Rector of Yerevan State University Hovhannes Hovhannisyan today received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to Armenia Bolat Imanbayev and discussed with him the steps and prospects for the strengthening and development of the bilateral cooperation.

As reported Yerevan State University, Ambassador Imanbayev stated that the wonderful relations between the two countries and their leading universities are among the primary directions for cooperation. He expressed gratitude to the administration of Yerevan State University for the willingness to cooperate and attached special importance to the role of the Chair of Turkish Studies at Yerevan State University which, according to him, is one of the pillars of the development of cultural and social relations in both countries.

The Ambassador talked about the peculiarities of the Armenian-Kazakh relations and voiced hope for further development of the relations between both countries.

Acting Rector of Yerevan State University Hovhannes Hovhannisyan stated that Armenia and Kazakhstan are linked by historical, cultural, social and economic relations and added that evidence of the high level of relations is the Center for Kazakh Language, History and Culture after Aba at Yerevan State University. He added that it is necessary to maintain the traditions and develop new programs that will allow to further strengthen the cooperation in all directions.
