Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has “lost legitimacy” as a leader, the Independent writes.
Her remarks came after Syrian government supporters attacked U.S. Embassy in Damascus on Monday.
She added that Asad accepted assistance from Iranians to repress his own people and condemned the attack.
