YEREVAN. - OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs will discuss the proposals of the Russian President Dmitry Medvedev with the Armenian leadership, formed as a result of debates on Nagorno-Karabakh.
The mediators discussed Medvedev’s proposals for Karabakh conflict resolution in Baku several days ago. “We expect official Baku’s answer to President Medvedev’s proposal to be presented by Azerbaijani Foreign Minister,” OSCE Minsk Group Russian Co-Chair Igor Popov told reporters in Baku, adding they expect the issue to be thoroughly discussed at the meetings with the Armenian leadership today.
In his turn, OSCE Minsk Group French Co-Chair Bernard Fassier stated that the mediators intended to visit Nagorno-Karabakh Republic. “However, as Karabakh President Bako Sahakyan is not in the republic, we have been pleased to visit Garni and other places of interest of Armenia,” Fassier noted.
As Armenian News-NEWS.am reported earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov handed in proposals of the Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, formed as a result of debates on Nagorno-Karabakh to Armenian and Azerbaijani Presidents during his visit to Yerevan and Baku.
