YEREVAN. – Report on Armenia’s democratic institutions will be positively presented in PACE in October, believes Armenian delegation member in PACE, MP Naira Zohrabyan regarding PACE co-rapporteur for the monitoring of Armenia Axel Fischer’s visit to Armenia.

“Axel Fischer has praised the latest developments of Armenia’s inner political life and the amendments of the Election Code,” Zohrabyan told. 

PACE co-rapporteur for the monitoring of Armenia Axel Fischer arrived in Armenia on Tuesday. The other co-rapporteur John Prescott’s visit was cancelled due to technical reasons.

Co-rapporteur will discuss with Armenian opposition and authorities the latest developments towards the improvement of the political environment. He will meet the president, the speaker of the parliament, other parliamentary groups and non-parliamentary opposition. Co-rapporteur will end his monitoring mission on Thursday.
