Armenia’s schoolchildren have won 2 silver and 4 bronze medals at the 63rd International Mathematical Olympiad, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.
The Olympiad, which Norway hosted, was held in two theoretical stages and in the current format, on July 6-16, in the capital Oslo.
A total of 589 schoolchildren—521 boys and 68 girls—from 104 countries competed in this event.
Team Armenia were represented by six schoolchildren, and they placed 26th in the overall team standings.
In the 62nd International Mathematical Olympiad, which was held in an online format, Team Armenia had won 2 silver and 3 bronze medals.
