YEREVAN. – Zhoghovurd daily of the Republic of Armenia writes: Persons holding public positions and public servants [in Armenia] cannot accept gifts related to the carrying out of their official (service) duties, or express consent to accept them in the future. In any case, the government has again submitted a new draft and set such a provision in the RA Law "On Public Service."

A provision will be specified in the law that persons holding public office and public servants must ensure that their family members and other persons interconnected with them do not accept a gift, or do not express consent to accept it in the future if there is a possible or real link between the carrying out of official duties by a person holding a public position or a public servant and the received gift.
