The annual exports from Armenia, before joining the EAEU, amounted to 1.7 billion dollars. Now it has increased to 2.5 billion dollars. During the press conference of Eurasian Expert Club in Yerevan, summarizing the results of the seventh economic survey, this was stated by Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor, Head of Economic Research Center and member of Eurasian Expert Club Ashot Tavadyan today.

At the same time, exports from Armenia this year, according to the economist's forecast, may even exceed the threshold of $3 billion.

"This is conditioned by the fact that this year export to Belarus has doubled from $9 million to $18 million. Moreover, as for Russia, it exceeded half a billion instead of $265 million last year. Last year we exported 25% of all the finished products to the EAEU, and now it's 30%," said Tavadyan.

At the same time he noted that both strengthening of AMD and the Russian ruble against the dollar played a major role in this issue, thanks to which exports to Russia never decreased.
