In the period between August 22 and 28, the level of Lake Sevan dropped by 2cm and totaled 1900.57 meters above sea level, which is 6cm lower than the level at the same day last year, whereas 14cm higher than the level at January 1, 2022. Armenian News-NEWS.am has learned about this from the Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center of Armenia.
The amount of water taken—for the purpose of irrigation—from Lake Sevan in the period between August 22 and 28 was 12.769 million cubic meters, and the total amount of water intake, from June 3 to August 28 inclusive, is 142.569 million cubic meters.
During the period between August 22 and 28, the amount of water transferred to Lake Sevan through the Arpa-Sevan aqueduct was 0.686 million cubic meters, and from January 1 to August 28, inclusive: 152.346 million cubic meters.
