Masis Abrahamyan, head of the Armenian National Committee - Netherlands, filed a lawsuit against the National Security Service (NSS) of Armenia, demanding to remove his data from the list of foreigners declared persona non grata on the territory of Armenia. FactInfo news agency reports.

On July 31, 2022 the law enforcement bodies at the airport "Zvartnots" prohibited the entry to Armenia of Syune Abrahamyan, a member of the youth organization ARFD in the Netherlands.

The decision to send her back was made without explaining the reasons and providing any arguments, the ARF Bureau said in a statement. It was noted that "the Armenian authorities have turned against the devoted and patriotic youth of the Armenian diaspora." The next day Masis Abrahamyan was banned from entering the country.

FactInfo had earlier reported that Syune, daughter of Masis Abrahamyan, had already filed a lawsuit against the National Security Service, demanding to remove her data from the register of foreigners recognized as undesirable persons. The suit was filed before Administrative Court Judge Ruben Makeyan.

According to a report on the Datalex judicial information system portal, Masis Abrahamyan's lawsuit against the NSS with the same demand was also registered on October 21. The Administrative Court, presided by Judge Mher Petrosyan, accepted it for proceedings.
