YEREVAN. - The criminal case instituted over August 9 incident between oppositional Armenian National Congress activists and the police was filed to the Special Investigation Service under instructions of Armenia’s Prosecutor General.

During preliminary investigation the accused gave evidence about being subjected to violence by the police officers. Thus, the Prosecutor General instructed to pass the case to Special Investigation Service in order to ensure objectivity and versatility of the process.
