YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Prosecutor General Avghan Hovsepyan decided to file criminal charges on beating an ambulance medical nurse in Gegharkunik Region.

The nurse informed police on September 11 that she was beaten by the patient’s husband, who is the Military Prosecutor of the Gegharkunik Region. According to the nurse, the Prosecutor slapped and kicked her, General Prosecutor’s press service informs. 

The doctor and the driver of the ambulance confirmed, while the wife and relatives of the Prosecutor rejected the incident.

Taking into consideration that there is a contradiction in reports, General Prosecutor filed charges against Military Prosecutor. The investigation of the case is directed to the Special Investigation Service.
