YEREVAN. - Tax increases would adversely affect Armenia’s regional competitiveness and could result in the reduction of foreign investments, American Chamber of Commerce in Armenia’s (AMCHAM) release reads. To note, AMCHAM Board’s regular session was held  in the capital Yerevan, on November 10, and the event brought together directors from several leading companies.   

The directors had noted that the bills on raising the income tax and other taxes were not accessible to the public.  

The Board had also examined the latest changes made in Armenia’s Law on Language according to which, the companies must carry out their documentation in Armenian.   

The AMCHAM Board of Directors had also decided to establish an international arbitration tribunal, as an alternative for resolving disputes.
