The Armenian permanent representation to UN in New York organized an official reception in the honor of President of Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Bako Sahakyan.

Addressing the attendees, President Sahakyan pointed out importance of mission’s work in unbiased presentation of the Karabakh issue in one of the most important international organizations – the UN. According to the President this work would have a positive impact on the international recognition of the NKR.

During the event President Sahakyan handed in the “Vachagan Barepasht” medal to American philanthropist of Armenian origin Andreas Roubyan, stressing standing at the origins of the Artsakh National Liberation movement he continues to take an active part in the development of the NKR.

Head of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan, head of the central information department of the office of NKR President David Babayan, representatives of the local Armenian community participated in the event.
