Swedish eco-activist Greta Thunberg, who is holding her action in Tbilisi against COP29 in Baku, has moved with her associates to the parliament building, where a rally of the pro-European opposition begins.

Thunberg's action was declared against “capitalist greed”, “the wave of authoritarianism in the Caucasus” and the holding of the UN environmental summit in Baku.  Thunberg is organizing the action together with the Caucasian Feminist Anti-War Movement.

The “We are Europe” rally in front of the Georgian Parliament is organized by coalitions of pro-European opposition parties and civic platforms, Novosti-Georgia reports.

The protesters are expecting to be joined by the heads of the foreign affairs committees of the parliaments of eight EU countries.

MPs from Germany, Finland, Sweden, France, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Poland have arrived in Tbilisi to discuss the past elections, reports of mass violations, the progress of investigations and the current situation. The ruling party called the visit biased and refused to meet with the MEPs.

The Georgian President and representatives of the opposition met with the delegation. In the morning, the EU deputies were met by civil activists outside the presidential residence.
