The Swedish authorities have said that the damage to the cables in the Baltic Sea was a sabotage, the Swedish Prosecution Authority informed, DW reports.
The respective investigation is at an early phase, added the aforesaid agency.
Germany and Finland also have expressed deep concern over this incident.
A thorough investigation is being carried out.
German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius also believes that the damage to these cables is a result of sabotage.
