Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received a delegation headed by Anton Hofreiter, Chairman of the Committee on European Union (EU) Affairs of the German Bundestag—the parliament, the PM’s office informs.

The premier welcomed the visit of this delegation to Armenia, and noted with satisfaction that the cooperation between Armenia and Germany in various domains has been intensive. Also, Pashinyan underscored interparliamentary cooperation, including on international platforms.

The interlocutors discussed Armenia-EU relations and their development, and the democratic reforms being carried out in Armenia—and with the support of the EU.

The parties reflected also on the course of discussions on the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace treaty, the positions of Armenia in that context, and the process of border delimitation. And the activities of the EU civilian monitoring mission in Armenia were highlighted in terms of ensuring regional stability.

Views were exchanged also on some other matters of regional importance.
