The Georgian parliament will approve the new composition of the government headed by Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze at a plenary session on November 28, Speaker of the legislative body Shalva Papuashvili said, Novosti-Georgia reports.

“At the plenary session on Thursday, the composition of the government will be presented, which we will approve,” Papuashvili said.

Only Georgian Dream MPs will approve the government.

The opposition refuses to recognize the results of the parliamentary elections and does not participate in the legislature.

Kobakhidze announced the replacement of three ministers in the government the day before. Agriculture Minister Otar Shamugia and Justice Minister Rati Bregadze resigned. The key replacement of Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili with the head of the parliamentary committee on relations with Europe, Maka Botchorishvili. She will have to conduct foreign policy against the backdrop of Tbilisi's frayed relations with the EU and the U.S. and persistent Western questions over the results of the October 26 parliamentary elections.
