President-elect Donald Trump sharply criticized Ukraine's use of U.S.-supplied missiles deep inside Russian territory in comments published Thursday in an interview with Time magazine that suggest he will change U.S. policy toward Ukraine.

“What's going on is insane. It's insanity. I strongly disagree with sending missiles hundreds of miles into Russia. Why are we doing this? We are only escalating this war and making it worse. This should never have been allowed to happen,” Trump said in an interview with the magazine that named him man of the year.
