Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan discussed the issue of Kurdish forces in Syria in a telephone conversation with U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, Anadolu reported.

According to Fidan, “the PKK/YPG terrorist organization cannot be allowed to take refuge in Syria.”

The Turkish foreign minister also reportedly emphasized the importance of acting in cooperation with the new Syrian administration to ensure stability in Syria and an orderly end to the transition period.

“Turkey supports the efforts of the new Syrian administration to ensure the country's territorial integrity and security.

The Turkish Foreign Minister also called on Washington to make more efforts to achieve a permanent ceasefire in Gaza,” Anadolu reported.
